The beam path is simply "folded" by means of two high-precision ground ring mirrors. This results not only in a compact design and an aperture that is more than 50% higher than that of a lens of the same focal length, but also in a very short closest focusing distance of only 2 meters. The focusing is manual. The lens can be used with aperture priority or manual exposure (depending on the camera). It is technically not possible to insert an iris diaphragm into the folded light path. If light reduction becomes necessary, this is simply made possible by grey filters (not included), which are screwed in front of the rear lens. There is a thread M34x0.5 for this purpose. Practical: The lens has no fixed infinity stop. T2 mount, operating tip: The T2 adapter is screwed onto the lens, then the lens is locked. After loosening the screws on the side of the T2 adapter, the lens can be "straightened" - the index can be aligned to the top. Tightening the screws again reliably secures the lens and adapter. Save time in post-processing. A large number of lens errors such as distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This way you get the maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not necessary.
