Product details
Cat6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz and are used for signal transmission with high data transfer rates of up to 1 Gbps. Due to the high signal frequencies, special care is required during installation and assembly, particularly at the connection points of the wires. The individual wire pairs in Cat6 cables are twisted at different tightness levels, which further reduces susceptibility to interference compared to Cat5e. Application areas for Cat6 cables include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks. Even more powerful are cables according to Cat6e (500 MHz) and Cat6a (625 MHz).
A major advantage of slim patch cables is the ease of cabling for racks and 48-port switches. The extremely thin design and high flexibility help prevent cable clutter, increasing organization. A Wirewin Cat6 slim patch cable features a flexible and wide strain relief as well as length markings on both ends, ensuring more order in your distribution cabinets. These cables are the optimal solution for connecting IP phones to your network. Thanks to their short connector and flexibility, they are ideally suited for this application. Despite their extremely thin construction, Power over Ethernet (PoE) supply for IP phones is also possible through these cables. Additionally, the cables are no longer flat but have a round shape. The AWG (American Wire Gauge) system is based on the manufacturing process of wires and describes the conductor thickness of the copper wire. AWG36 corresponds to a conductor cross-section of 0.0127 mm².
