Gold-plated connectors with strain relief. The wires made of 100% copper are double shielded. A wire is a conductor made up of many thin individual strands, making it flexible. Additionally, it offers high tensile strength. The cable features strain relief. Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous release of halogen-containing combustion gases is thus excluded. Another advantage is that the exposure to toxic gases (such as hydrogen chloride gas in PVC) is minimized. Halogen-free cables are also flame-resistant and do not exhibit a dangerous "fuse effect."
