Cat6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz. They are used for signal transmission at high data rates (1 Gbps). Due to the high signal frequencies, careful installation and assembly are essential, especially at the connection points of the wires. The individual wire pairs in Cat6 are twisted at different tightness, further reducing susceptibility to interference compared to Cat5e. Applications for Cat6 cables include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks. Even more powerful are cables according to Cat6e (500 MHz) and Cat6a (625 MHz).
The slim patch cables offer a significant advantage when wiring racks and 48-port switches. Their extremely thin design and great flexibility help avoid cable clutter, keeping everything organized.
A Wirewin Cat6 slim patch cable features a flexible and wide connector protection as well as a length marking on both ends. This helps restore some order in your distribution cabinets. They are the optimal solution for connecting IP phones to your network. With their short connector and flexibility, these cables are ideally suited for this application. Despite their extremely thin design, Power over Ethernet supply for IP phones is also possible through these cables. Additionally, the cables are no longer flat as usual – they now have a round shape.
AWG36
The AWG (American Wire Gauge) system is based on the manufacturing process of wires and indicates the wire gauge of copper wire. AWG36 corresponds to a conductor cross-section of 0.0127 mm².
