With the S5, Zalman delivers a minimalist midi tower featuring a clear design, a tempered glass side panel, two pre-installed fans, a power supply bay, clever cable management, and subtle RGB lighting. The stylish tempered glass side panel and the completely black interior contribute to the elegant overall appearance of the midi tower. At the bottom, there is a power supply bay for power supplies up to 19 centimeters long, as well as a modular drive cage for two 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives. Four additional 2.5-inch drives can be mounted on the back of the motherboard tray and on the power supply bay.

The minimalist front features subtle perforation and RGB lighting. Two pre-installed 120mm fans, an RGB fan in the rear, and a non-RGB fan in the front ensure good ventilation. The front of the Zalman S5 can accommodate up to three 120mm fans, while the bottom and top can each fit up to two 120mm fans. CPU coolers must not exceed a height of 163 millimeters, while graphics cards can be up to 340 millimeters long.

As a special feature, the Zalman S5 also offers options for water cooling installation: a vertical radiator mount can accommodate two 120mm fans and a 240mm radiator. An additional 240mm radiator can be placed in the top of the case. For clean cable management, there is a foldable cable shroud on the back of the motherboard tray.
