The DS4608 captures 1D, 2D and DPM barcodes (DS4608-DPE) reliably and quickly on virtually any surface and in almost any condition - printed or from the display, with high density or low contrast. The DS4608-HD also reads very dense, i.e. very small barcodes such as those on jewellery labels without any problems. The DS4608-DPE reads particularly wide barcodes up to a width of 4". The DS4608-SR also scans full-page documents and barcodes at a distance of up to 46 cm. This enables users in the retail sector, for example, to reach items in a shopping trolley without leaving the checkout area. The barcode scanner is equipped with an 800 MHz microprocessor and a high-resolution megapixel sensor. Together with Zebra's PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology, even hard-to-read or hard-to-reach barcodes are reliably captured. Multi-code data formatting ensures that multiple barcodes can be captured with a single scan and transmitted in the desired order. A practical and clear triple read confirmation is provided immediately after a successful scan: decoding LED, adjustable acoustic signal and a direct decoding display with illumination on the barcode. Another particularly practical feature is the automatic host recognition function, which automatically selects the correct interface - USB, RS-232 or RS-485 - when connected. Another advantage of the DS4608 is the quick change between handheld and presentation mode. For presentation mode, the barcode scanner is simply placed in the presentation stand. Handheld mode is activated automatically as soon as the scanner is picked up.
