The original cyan cartridge does almost everything right in the test, apart from the mediocre packaging there is nothing to complain about here. It is easy to unpack and install, especially as the good print quality can also be praised. The colour is very consistent and the very good fill level indicator is also pleasing.

The magenta-coloured Brother LC-123M ink can be recommended almost without exception, with only an average result achieved in the packaging. This is expressed here by a good result when printing, whereby the consistency of the colour also deserves praise. In addition, it is easy to unpack and use.

The yellow cartridge should be preferred to a third-party product because of the consistently good results in the test. The Brother LC-123Y is only moderately packaged, but is easy to unpack and insert. Furthermore, the print quality is good in all respects, especially as the resistance to water, light and wiping is excellent.

The quality of the printouts with this cartridge is on a good level, only with graphics the ink achieves only an average result. However, the ink is very resistant to water, light and wiping. The ease of use is also a plus.

The Brother LC-123M is the magenta replacement for the Brother printer, and a good one at that. The cartridge shows very consistent colours and high print quality. The only complaint is the print quality of the graphics, which is only mediocre.

The Brother LC-123Y prints graphics in only average quality, but in terms of other qualities it does not disappoint in any way. It prints well and the ink is very durable. Furthermore, the cartridge is easy to unpack and insert, but the packaging is not very practical.
