You started mining in an old mine, Franco: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/questionandanswer/in-amerika-gibt-es-diesen-scanner-in-schwarz-wird-der-auch-in-der-schweiz-erhaeltlich-sein-bei-digit-197480?productTypeId=88&referrerProductId=14651823 There is no informative answer from Digitec, unfortunately. @David Lim commented on this 2 years ago, but seems to have given no update so far.
No. Direct access to the NAS is not possible. The software must be running on the PC and the NAS drive must be connected to the PC. It is possible to save directly to the cloud (e.g. Onedrive, Dropbox, Google Drive). Many NAS support a sync with a cloud. Theoretically, it would be possible to access the NAS without a PC.
Thank you very much for your comment. We will gladly forward this internally to the responsible department and hope that this will be checked promptly.
In America, this scanner is available in black, will it also be available in Switzerland at Digitec?
Unfortunately, we do not have any information on this at the moment.
Unfortunately, we can currently only arrange the scanner in this colour.
I am accessing Scansnap via Windows - so I don't know if it will help: I have the same problem. Apparently the IP address changes and the PC and Scansnap can no longer find each other. What helps me: Deactivate the WLAN function in Scansnap (in the Wi-Fi settings), confirm and then reactivate.
Yes, unrestricted
Yes, it is supported
it is the old USB type A to USB type B
Many thanks for the useful tip to our Community.

The scanner offers various resolutions such as Auto, Normal, Better, Best and Excellent. These can be stored in the profiles in the same way as B/W and colour. However, there is no explicit limit of 1MB. The included Kofax software also allows files to be reduced in batch mode. But even there I know of no limitation to a specific target size.
No, it doesn't have a LAN connection. What a pity...
The extension worked for me without any problems...
Windows 11: Yes. I don't have Apple OS.
Hello Works perfectly on my iMac with m1 chip And MacBook Pro Intel 5
No, unfortunately it does not have a slot for a USB stick. You always have to connect it to a PC.
I received the Kofax Power PDF Standard, version 3 software with the machine at the end of 2021. I am very satisfied with this combination of hardware and software.
After configuration with a PC (not tried without a PC), you can scan via Wifi without a PC into your favourite cloud (tested with onedrive and Google drive)! For the USB I think it is not possible.
We have this scanner in operation at our customers with the manufacturer's software under Windows 10, Windows 11 and MacOS, but the scan is done on a NAS. We have not had such good experiences in operation with WLAN. In addition, the scanner does not support a Twain / ISIS connection.
Clean both scanner bars. Dampen the cloth with soapy water (it must not drip) and then rub it back and forth frequently over each scanner bar with the cloth stretched over your finger. Finally, moisten the cloth with glass cleaner and go over the scanner bars again. Now make a scan on both sides. If there are still streaks, go over the scanner bar at the appropriate place with your fingertip or fingernail (or with a magnifying glass and a lamp) and feel whether there is a scratch (e.g. from a paper clip that has been pulled through). If there is a scratch, then the scanner bar must be replaced. Prices and estimates can be obtained from Fujitsu support (0800 673 8187, free of charge). In very rare cases, an LED in the scanner bar may also be defective. In this case, however, there is a deep black, razor-sharp line about 1 mm wide. In this case, the scanner bar must also be replaced. In most cases, however, cleaning is all that is needed. Often there are residues of ink on the scanner bar that have not dried and cannot be removed quickly with a duster. Good luck1
I can't imagine that. You would have to save the url and the access data on/in the scanner.
It is a general phenomenon in IT hardware that discontinued models are more expensive than their (better) successors after a certain point. This is because previous buyers know "their model" and have already installed the drivers. So if you want to integrate another scanner of the same type into your system or replace an old one (e.g. due to a defect), you don't want to bother with new drivers and a clean uninstallation of the old drivers. That's why discontinued models (not only for scanners, but also for printers) are in great demand, but are becoming increasingly scarce, and as a result the price goes up. Those who have never had a scanner from the same manufacturer will of course always go for the new model, especially if it is also cheaper.
