The idea for this series of characters came from two teachers, Isora Paoletto and Vilma Cerutti, and from the book they wrote based on Dante Alighieri's "La Divina Commedia" (Divine Comedy). The authors
wanted to make this masterpiece of world literature accessible to their students as well. We have been inspired by this beautiful initiative to create a collection of small porcelain figurines, a kind of "illustrated dictionary of the emotions" so brilliantly rendered by the poet prince in his work.
