You can switch off all the lights and it won't bother you.
You can change the white color temperature with the top button on the lamp. You have more color selections when connecting to the lamp using the Xiaomi Home app.
There are cutting points on the 2m and on the 1m so no need to worry about adjusting the length
I think the difference is that the more expensive ones are newer and have been on the market for less time.
You have to export it to HomeKit via the Yeelight app. Click on the device, then on the settings (top right corner), then “Add to home”
On Android, it's actually easier to do from a homescreen widget. In the app, create a Room with that light then change the Room's settings, it has a "White" tab. But please note that since it's an RGB strip, not a white strip, the "white" will be quite approximate.
Yes you can 👍
See item description: "Compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa."
No, I don't think so, you have an app on the phone to manage the leds, otherwise you can turn to Corsair or razer leds if they make them.
If I understand you correctly, you mean the triangular diffuser. Yes, this light strip is compatible with it. But note that there is no adhesive strip on the profile diffuser and you need 2 (diffuser is 1m, LED strip 2m). If you want to mount the diffuser on the ceiling, you need a strong adhesive tape. Otherwise it can happen, it happened to me :(, that the 2 diffusers crash down and cut your LED strip cleanly in half.... not quite as cool :/
Lightstrip has adhesive backing.
Unfortunately not, the lights work via wifi. However, you can integrate the lights into homekit via the xiaomi app! :)
Can yes, but You would think it would just work via the Yeelight Orchestra app, but it doesn't for most people. It works perfectly via KODI. If you're asking the question here, you probably want it quick and easy, so (unfortunately) you'll probably have to buy the Philipps Hue.
they are not the same... The box did not say anything about Apple Homekit support, but as far as I know, you can connect it to Homekit after a firmware update (very simple in the app).
Sorry, no idea is used indoors
Most apps (including the Yeelight one) have a concept of "rooms" where you can control the state of multiple devices together. I can confirm that I can set the on/off state, intensity, color and flow parameters for a room through the official Yeelight app. In addition, this smartlight has an open LAN control protocol. You can write your own software for it..
The strip can be cut at certain points. However, this eliminates the possibility of attaching extensions.
