The chicken coop has external dimensions of 310 x 150 x 150 cm and has two interconnected areas. As the house is located on a second level, which is accessed via a ramp, the floor space remains completely intact. The house has two large nesting boxes on the sides, each with a hinged lid. Both can be opened if necessary so that the inside is easily accessible. This makes it possible to check on nesting hens or take out a breakfast egg. There is a galvanised tray underneath the house that can be pulled out. This makes it easy to clean the floor inside the house.

The chicken coop is made of wood and is varnished to protect the material from the weather. The free-range enclosure is surrounded by weatherproof wire made of galvanised steel.

Note: Although chickens are not large animals, they also need enough space to live. There must be 10 square metres available per chicken. As chickens are not solitary animals, there must be enough space for a whole group. A group can consist of one cockerel and three to six hens. This group size therefore requires at least between 40 and 70 square metres of space.
