He (i.e. David Friedrich, author of this book) has been entertaining people with his texts on stage or in front of the camera, at poetry slams or in cabaret since 2007. Friedrich's content was rarely autobiographical or personal, usually keeping a certain distance from the author himself, as he was more interested in entertaining the audience. Now, however, he is stripped bare. He confronts his fears and writes about his post-traumatic stress disorder, his depression and panic attacks, becoming increasingly careless and honest in the process. doll" is about intense texts that do not seek confirmation, but want to be uncomfortable. He comments on politics and society in an exaggerated and ironic way, but no longer with the aim of entertaining - the laughter should get stuck in your throat. The texts are not intended to inspire reflection, but rather action. At the same time, this book has no claim, no hope that it can change anything, because the truth changes nothing. It's just very "tough".
