Helpful answer

The language of the robot hoover can usually be changed via the associated app or the device settings. For Xiaomi products such as the MI Robot Vacuum S12, the language is often customised via the Mi Home app. If you want to change the language to German, you can search for the language settings in the app and select the desired language. If the language cannot be changed or remains in English, it may be helpful to update the app or check the device settings.

To define an area that should not be vacuumed, you can use the "Virtual walls" function on the Xiaomi MI Robot Vacuum S12. This function allows you to exclude certain areas by creating virtual barriers in the app. Here are the steps: 1. app installation and connection: make sure the Mi Home app is installed and the robot vacuum is connected to your Wi-Fi. 2. map creation: Let the robot create a map of your home by having it drive through the different rooms. 3. create virtual walls: Open the Mi Home app and navigate to the settings of the robot vacuum. Look for the option "Virtual Walls" or "No-Go Zones" and create virtual barriers to mark the areas you want the robot to avoid. 4. save and test: Save the changes and test the function by having the robot drive through the areas in question. This method allows you to precisely control which areas should be vacuumed and which should not.

With the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S12, you can control the mopping function separately and switch it off if desired. The device offers a 2-in-1 function for vacuuming and mopping, but these functions can be used independently of each other. - You can switch between the different cleaning modes, including pure vacuuming or pure mopping, via the Mi Home app or the remote control. - The device's smart water supply can also be adjusted to regulate the water output depending on the floor type, which makes it possible to deactivate the mopping function when only vacuuming is required.

Yes, the Xiaomi MI Robot Vacuum S12 can map and save multiple floors. The laser navigation technology allows the robot to create accurate maps of multiple floors and save them for later reuse. You can therefore use the robot on different floors by carrying it to the other floor and using the previously saved maps.

When you press the start button, it goes through everything and vacuums. As the thresholds between the rooms are so high that the robot can't get over them, we vacuum room by room. We do it exactly the same way, place the robot in the room, close all the doors and press the button. It then vacuums the room. We never need the app. But we don't use the wet pick-up function. I'm no longer sure whether you need the app for that.
