The heat-resistant glass lid with a stainless steel rim fits securely on the pot. The non-porous, nickel-free Silargan surface is resistant to cutting and abrasion. The special hollow handles reduce heat transfer, keeping them cooler for longer. For extended cooking times or when using in the oven, pot holders or oven mitts are necessary for opening the lid and carrying the pot. The hollow handles with generous grips fit securely in the hand and are oven-safe. A wide pouring rim makes draining liquids easier.
