The zippered ventilation openings from the knee to the hip allow excess heat to escape when needed; zippers at the calves enhance functionality. Two spacious thigh pockets with flaps and snap buttons – the left one also features a zipper, while the right one includes a mesh inner pocket for a phone or radio. There are two hand pockets and a knife pocket. The seams on the inner thigh have been strategically placed to effectively prevent chafing. The calves are reinforced with double fabric layers to withstand abrasion from boots. A drawstring with buttons prevents the leg openings from riding up, and they can also be secured to the laces with boot hooks. Reinforced areas at the waistband ensure a secure fit for suspenders.
