The Dragontail SYNTH GTX by Garmont is a highly developed hiking shoe specifically designed for approaches and via ferratas. With its waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, it offers optimal protection against moisture, while the robust upper made of synthetic material and abrasion-resistant nylon yarn ensures durability. The dual-density EVA midsole provides additional comfort and cushioning, making it ideal for longer hikes. The extended lacing up to the toes allows for precise adjustment and control, while the GTF diamond sole guarantees excellent traction on various surfaces. The shoe is not crampon-compatible but is excellent for mixed terrain and features a regular fit that wraps the foot well. Test impression The name Dragontail is almost synonymous with technical low shoes. The Synth GTX is a modern interpretation of this. The shoe is significantly better cushioned than many of its predecessors and doesn't cause any problems even on long descents.
