The Hanwag Waxenstein Bio is a mid-cut shoe made from chrome-free tanned leather, providing a comfortable wearing experience. The StraightFit HANWAG last concept with a newly developed toe box allows for a straight alignment of the big toe and offers more space for the toes for individuals with a wider forefoot.

The Composole is the first fully compostable outsole for mountain and trekking shoes, featuring two different profiles for various applications.

The shoe is suitable for everyday use, leisure, and walks on good paths, as well as light hikes in flat terrain. Categories A to D determine the stiffness of the sole, the drop, and the shaft construction, positioning a model within the categories.

D = very stiff and fully crampon-compatible (step-in/automatic crampons).
