The fuel and air mix in the burner and burn in the presence of a catalyser material. This is a special metal alloy that is applied to a porous metal foam. This reduces the activation energy required for the combustion reaction. The result is more complete combustion of the gas-air mixture. In addition, the metal foam begins to glow as a result of the combustion and generates infrared radiation, which adds further heat energy to the reaction. This makes it possible to boil or melt snow even in strong winds. The high efficiency of the system also saves on gas consumption. And, thanks to the well thought-out hose system, it is also possible to turn the gas cartridge upside down at lower temperatures. The cooker set is complemented by a 1 litre pot made of hard-anodised aluminium with an integrated heat exchanger. This makes cooking on the go fun!
