The Shimano WU111 unit for wireless signal transmission is directly connected to the DI2 E-TUBE system and allows the connection and use of ANT+ and Bluetooth LE compatible accessories. It also allows
maintenance and system updates to be applied via SHIMANO's E-Tube Project software for smartphones and tablets.Bluetooth is used for communication between the EW-WU111/101, i.e. the Di2 system, and smartphones or tablets.The new E-TUBE app for mobile devices allows function assignments, switch assignments, multi- and synchro-shift settings to be made and firmware upgrades to be applied to components.
