Product details

Your horse will accept the anatomically shaped, single-break water snaffle from Waldhausen well.

Use

The new anatomically shaped stainless steel bits from Waldhausen are characterized by a mouthpiece
adapted to the horse's mouth. The good mouth position and the even pressure on the tongue promote optimal chewing. Anatomical bits from Waldhausen promote faster acceptance of the bit. They allow a more targeted aiding and influencing of the tongue.

Thickness: 16 mm, rings: Ø 7 cm

Material

Stainless steel:
All stainless steels have in common that a minimum 12% chromium content is added to the steel alloy. Through contact with oxygen from the surrounding media (air, water, other substances), a thin transparent layer of chromium oxide, only a few atomic layers thick, forms on the steel surface. This is also referred to as "passivation". This layer protects the underlying steel from further chemical influences.

If the surface is damaged, this passive layer forms anew on its own under the influence of oxygen. Due to the new formation of the passive layer, one can also easily speak of a "self-healing" or a "self-repair mechanism". Thus, a regrinding of stainless steel is possible at any time

Manufacturer

Waldhausen - The goal of company founder Anton Waldhausen was to guarantee exceptional quality. As early as the 1850s, he established a specialized store in Cologne and supplied European noble families beyond the city limits with high-quality saddles and harnesses. As a product of the highest quality, the "Waldhausen Saddle" achieved widespread fame.

As a far-sighted businessman, the son Henri Waldhausen expanded the range of harnesses and saddles to include exclusive leather and trunk goods. By 1895, Waldhausen was the largest saddlery and leather goods retail store in Germany. The marble and glass facade was considered the most beautiful in Cologne at the time.

The success of the Waldhausen company made it the purveyor to the court of various princes and royal families. During the Second World War, all facilities of the Waldhausen company were completely destroyed. Ernst Albrecht Assenmacher Senior rebuilt the company and again concentrated production on equestrian articles. Under his son Ernst Albrecht Assenmacher Junior, the company experienced massive expansion. Waldhausen became a leading international supplier of equestrian articles and achieved worldwide renown. In 1969, the production and distribution of Moll Saddles was taken over. Since 1972 and to this day, Waldhausen has been the official outfitter of the German Olympic Committee for Equestrianism (DOKR).
