Product details
Smoke detector with a compact size and appealing design according to DIN EN 14604, additionally certified under the increased testing requirements of the Q-certification based on the vfdb guidelines 14-01 "Association for the Promotion of German Fire Protection" (vfdb). Enhanced testing criteria against the ingress of foreign bodies as well as improved protection against moist heat, oxidation, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) are provided, along with better temperature cycling resistance. The detector is designed for the early detection and signaling of fires with smoke development indoors. A processor-controlled functional self-test occurs every 10 seconds, and the PGSA technology offers independent algorithmic re-triggering in the presence of disturbances such as dust to ensure operational reliability. A large function and reset button spans the entire top of the detector. An acoustic signal (85 dB at 3 m) and a red flashing LED serve as alarms. Additionally, there is an acoustic signal for low battery, contamination, or fault notifications.

Smoke detectors now compulsory throughout Germany Smoke detectors have been mandatory in new buildings throughout Germany for some time. For old buildings, there was still a transitional period. Since 1 January 2021, smoke alarms have been mandatory in all houses and flats. Smoke detectors in the test: Good and cheap - that's the way to go Whether standard smoke alarms or those that can be networked...

- Very good workmanship
- low purchase price
- Entire unit serves as mute and test button
- Flashes every 10 seconds during normal operation
- Very loud test tone
The FireAngel ST-630-DE and the Hager TG600AL came in fifth and sixth. While the FireAngel reacts particularly loudly and loses grade points because it also has a particularly loud and long test alarm, the Hager device is quite quiet. At 88 dB(A) at a distance of three metres, it is still loud enough according to the DIN standard, but we recommend using it mainly in bedrooms and children's rooms and...
Even though there are a few points of criticism in a few aspects, the Hager TG600AL still receives a good overall grade at the end of the test. This is mainly due to its high reliability, which has the most influence on the result. Volume and handling are also just about in a good range...
