The amplifier is the heart of your audio system and a clean power supply is correspondingly important. If you hear a mechanical hum, use iFi Audio's DC Blocker and say bye-bye to the hum or buzz.
The annoying hum is caused by a low DC voltage in the mains, which makes its way to the mains transformer and therefore starts to hum. The DC Blocker is a clever device that you attach to the C13 socket (at the rear mains input) and which, as the name suggests, prevents direct current from entering the amplifier. This eliminates the hum from the amplifier transformer. Conveniently, the DC Blocker can be used all over the world. Thanks to its small size, it takes up hardly any space and does not block any other plugs, sockets or cables.
