The flowers of the plant are tubular and reddish-orange, making them very similar to lipstick. Therefore, the Aeschynanthus Twister is also nicknamed "the lipstick plant."

The Aeschynanthus Twister is a plant of tropical origin. Therefore, it prefers plenty of light but no direct sunlight. The lipstick plant is very sensitive to overwatering.
