Product details
The Ctenanthe is a plant native to tropical Central and South America. It is closely related to the Calathea and has the beautiful characteristic of raising its leaves at night. This means that during the day you can see the beautiful striped upper side of the leaves, while at night you can admire the lovely purple underside. So don't be alarmed if you hear rustling at night; it's just leaves sliding past each other.
Care
The Ctenanthe Burle Marxii is very easy to care for. Place the plant in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight. Keep the soil slightly moist and water preferably once or twice a week in small amounts. Do not let the soil dry out too much. Try to maintain the location of the Ctenanthe as consistently as possible, as it is very sensitive to changes in its environment. If you take good care of the plant, it can produce a large number of new leaves. Another advantage of the Ctenanthe is that it is non-toxic to pets and children.
