Product details
The brand radiator paint LH from plid is manufactured in Germany. The radiator paint is characterised by its excellent workability and opacity.
In addition, the thermal paint is repair-resistant up to 80 degrees, resistant to yellowing, impact-resistant and quick-drying. Tools from prinzwork, for example, can be used for processing. This set is the right choice if you want to save money.
Intended use:
For the durable coating of hot water heating systems and pipes. The product is ready to use. The object should be no more than lukewarm when applying. This favours optimum flow of the product. During commissioning, an odour may develop for a short time. To remedy this, set the radiator to the highest setting and ventilate well with the window fully open. When using several containers, ensure that the batches are identical. Stir well before use and apply a thin, even coat.
Coating structure and application technique:
The substrate must be clean, solid, dry, free of dust, grease and wax and load-bearing. Thoroughly remove loose, unsound paint and rust. Sand down non-stable and well-adhering old coats well (wear a dust mask).
a) Prepare the substrate accordingly
b) Metal: 1 coat of Allgrund or rust protection primer
c) 1 coat of undercoat paint
d) 1 - 2 thin top coats with this product
Coverage:
approx. 9 - 12 m²/ltr. with one coat, depending on the condition of the substrate
Thinner:
Turpentine substitute
Tools
Brush, roller
Cleaning the tools:
Immediately after use with turpentine substitute, universal thinner or brush cleaner
Drying time: (at 20°C, 65% relative humidity)
Dust-dry: after approx. 2 hours
Touch dry: after approx. 8 hours
Recoatable: after approx. 24 hours
Lower temperatures and higher humidity extend the drying time.
