Cobi Armed Forces 5853 - Panavia Tornado IDS (Germany)

The Panavia was created on 26 March 1969 by a multinational consortium, which today consists of the British BAE Systems plc, the German Airbus Defence & Space and the Italian Leonardo S.p.A.. The new MRCA (Multi-Role Combat Aircraft) was to be used for both conventional and nuclear air attacks, for aerial reconnaissance and in naval warfare and fulfil high requirements such as extreme low-altitude flight, all-weather capability, high weapon precision, high self-protection and day/night operations. The first flight took place on 14 August 1974, series production began in 1979 and in 1982 the aircraft was equipped for deployment in Great Britain and Germany. Italy and the export customer Saudi Arabia followed later. Model in the German Air Force version, with 493 parts, 2 minifigures, printed blocks and movable elements.
