Corsets originated in the Renaissance, at the beginning of the 16th century. The precursor to today's bras was worn both as supportive underwear and as accentuating outerwear over, for example, a blouse. It should not be confused with the corset, which is stiff and heavily shaping. The laced corset Daphne is tailored, tapering to a point at the hips. It is laced from the bottom to the top. The cotton fabric is comfortable to wear. This cotton corset is perfect for a jester or trickster. The medieval corset Daphne is made from our very sturdy canvas cotton fabric with a linen look, which gives a rustic impression while also being very pleasant to wear.
