Ugears Fire engine

Fire brigade turntable ladder - a new mechanical model from the latest Ugears truck collection. This model is all real: an extendable 3-part turntable ladder that can also be converted into a crane. Fully extended, the length is approx. 70 cm.
The turntable ladder has several operating elements. The ladder is lifted by pressing the lever several times. Use the handle to turn the ladder to the right or left. A special ratchet fixes the current position. Turn the valve to retract or extend the ladder. A hook can be fitted at the front to use the turntable ladder as a crane. As with the large prototypes, our Ugears model also has a small ladder on the side. Here the fireman can quickly get on the truck.
This model is equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, which is driven by a cardan shaft and gears by a rubber motor. The transmission allows idling, forward or reverse speeds. You can let the model drive forwards and backwards, or just shift to "idle" and admire the pistons moving very realistically under the bonnet. Open the cabin door and you will see a fully functional steering wheel, which transmits to the suspended front axle by means of the handlebar. There you will also find the accelerator pedal.
The model is made entirely of wood materials and has been equipped with many realistic details and elements. It is very interesting to observe how the whole mechanism moves and how the individual elements are driven.
The turntable ladder, like all other Ugears models without glue, is assembled according to a colorfully illustrated and very detailed step-by-step instruction. All components are already laser-cut and are only removed from the plates. First, individual assemblies such as body, cardan shaft, wheel suspension, platform and ladder are assembled to form a finished model.
