I have had several Philips Sonicare toothbrushes so far. Due to the design (due to the ultrasonic motor) they all (!) broke after about 2 years. I have now come to terms with this and always take the 5-year guarantee with me. I have tested other manufacturers - but the ultrasonic brushes from Philips are by far the best in my opinion.
