The dense fabric is wind- and water-repellent and very durable, yet extremely breathable and quick-drying. G-1000 consists of a mixture of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, which is waxed with a thin layer of Greenland wax. The wax gives the material additional protection against dirt, wind and moisture and can be applied thicker or washed out as required.
