Comparison test - pressure cookers
Pressure cookers don't have the best reputation: everyone will have heard or read stories about them exploding, throwing a colourful array of food onto the walls and - in the worst case - injuring people to life and limb. These stories, however, date back to a time when pressure cookers were still very young. The technology behind them was not yet fully developed, but lacked many safety mechanisms that are taken for granted today. In the meantime, however, things have changed: Since the safety of each model has to be carefully checked before it can be sold, explosions can now be ruled out. Fortunately, because the purpose of a pressure cooker cannot be denied: With a pressure cooker, most foods can be prepared not only much faster but also more economically than with other methods; and just how much a time saving of up to 70% can be worth is something everyone knows in these times of omnipresent stress. In recent weeks, we have tested three current models from AMT, Fissler and WMF and reveal in this test which model is easiest to handle, in which one you can cook the fastest and much more.
