The December update brings many new TVs from LG, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung and Sony to our test database. 10 of the 15 perform well overall, 12 offer a good picture. Three of them cost less than 1,000 euros: one each with 50, 55 and 65 inch screen diagonals. If you want to buy a small TV, you will be pleased with two Panasonic models with 32 and 24 inch screen diagonals, because the big suppliers only have a few models of these sizes in their portfolio. In terms of picture and sound quality, however, Panasonic's small models cannot compete with many larger TVs. After all, they are available for as little as 270 euros.
