From trap to poison: What helps against clothes moths

Fighting clothes moths is a nuisance, but the moths do not disappear on their own. We have tested 14 attractants, repellents and control agents. Two are good. Stiftung Warentest tested 14 products against clothes moths: three sticky traps that are supposed to detect moths with attractants, six control products such as moth paper that are supposed to kill moths with insecticides, and five repellents such as scented sachets or hangers with lavandin oil that are supposed to prevent an infestation. The result is sobering: only one moth trap and one insecticide are successful, many other products have hardly any effect.
