Test Report

The current top models from the five major manufacturers are put to the test

A very close run thing: When comparing the picture qualities, there is no clear winner, the differences are too small for that. The sound, on the other hand, is clearer and Panasonic is the clear winner here. If you don't mind the lack of apps and the sprawling menu, you can go for it without hesitation. The situation is similar with Philips. Not interested in USB recording? Then there's the picture and sound in top quality plus the Ambilight typical of the manufacturer. The Sony lacks connections to win the test, but it is still an eye-catcher. The front runners from LG and Samsung also deliver an almost perfect picture in terms of features, with the Samsung taking the test win due to its slightly lower price.
