Office chairs tested

If you spend a lot of time working from home, you need a suitable desk chair. An office chair should not only be comfortable, but should also be individually adjustable - because a poor sitting posture can be detrimental to your health in the long term, causing neck and back pain, for example. Also important: the swivel chair should be stable, resilient and safe. Unfortunately, this does not apply to all 22 products that we have tested since 2021 - 9 of them in the current office chair test 2024. Some can tip over if you lean too far back or to the side, others have armrests that break off or emit harmful substances. We can recommend six models. Quality is not necessarily a question of price: there are good desk chairs for less than 300 euros, the most expensive model is not one of them (prices: 250 to 480 euros).
