12 food processors tested
Whether it's bread and rolls, biscuits and cakes or completely different baked goods: All those who regularly or even occasionally dedicate themselves to baking in the kitchen at home know how demanding the employees involved in such a baking project can be. Modern food processors are a welcome help in this regard, as they make it much easier to mix the ingredients evenly and sometimes also to knead them. While the muscles in the arms and shoulders can become noticeably tired after just a few minutes. However, the motor of a food processor can process almost any dough effortlessly and completely evenly over a much longer period of time. The mixer attachments specially designed for this purpose have the optimum speed to carry out their respective tasks - much faster than could ever be achieved by hand. What's more, in addition to mixing dough, food processors can also perform other work steps that may be required in the course of a baking project. As most models on the market are already equipped with the three essential attachments - a dough hook, a flat beater and a whisk - a simple flick of the wrist is usually enough to use the appliance to produce egg whites or whipped cream, for example, quickly and effortlessly. If the range of applications of your own model seems too limited, the possibilities of many food processors can now be expanded by purchasing a wide range of extension modules, such as blenders, mixers or meat grinders.
