30 Bicycle locks 05/2015

Bicycle thieves strike more than 300,000 times a year in Germany. Bad locks make their work easier. In the test, 30 U-locks, folding locks, chain locks and armoured cable locks (prices: 15 - 125 euros) had to show how well they withstand brutal and intelligent attempts to break them open. Only one in four locks ultimately achieves a good test quality rating. Many models are easy to break into, contain harmful substances or rust and are therefore rated poorly.
