Filter coffee machines tested
For many people, Americano, espresso, pour over & co. are an essential part of waking up: after all, drinking the black gold is an exquisite aroma and flavour experience that can quickly lift any mood. Finally, it is also valuable for other reasons, as it provides many health benefits: In particular, the poly-phenols present in large quantities play a role in the health of the veins, heart, etc. Consumers who want to serve more than just a few cups will prefer to use a filter machine. Such models can be used in a quick, simple and completely economical way and allow the serving of = 2-12 cups in just a few minutes. The majority of machines can also keep the black brew warm without any problems. If you want to personalise the taste, you can choose suitable models that allow you to do just that: the aroma can be easily adjusted, sometimes to several degrees and therefore very precisely. If you want to achieve the maximum flavour, you can purchase a model with a grinder: This allows the beans to be ground immediately before brewing. Another reason why many consumers prefer to use a filter machine: They are much cheaper than, for example, modern fully automatic machines. This time we have been able to take a look at 19 different models from all the major manufacturers, which can be categorised into three different groups - the group of those with a glass jug (11 models, p. 12 - 22), the group of those with a heat-insulating metal jug (4 models, p. 28 - 31) and finally the group of those with a grinder (4 models, p. 34 - 37). In the following, we illustrate how all these models can be used, how they perform during grinding, brewing and keeping warm, whether the final temperature of the beverage is acceptable and how the power consumption is affected, for example.
