DIY flower pots from my daughter
My little daughter is mad about flowers. She has always wanted to have some in her room. So we created various flower pots together. A simple craft that you can make with just a few materials.
Spring is here and with it the desire for colour in our own four walls. My daughter is no exception. She loves flowers more than anything. She talks to them, strokes them and beams at them. That's why we quickly made our own flower pots out of Tetrapack, which she can now put in her room.
What you need for the flower pots
Take an empty Tetrapack as the basic structure. It doesn't matter whether it's juice, milk or another drink. You will also need scissors and cutters, a towel, Filzstifte, buntes Papier und Leim. And last but not least, a pot of flowers.
How it's done
First cut the Tetrapack to the desired height of your flower pot using the cutter. Then rinse it out with warm water and dry everything thoroughly. Then knead the Tetrapack until the material becomes soft and the top layer of paper peels off.
Peel off this layer completely until nothing of the print is visible. This requires a little patience. You can add water to help the colour come off more easily. Then fold the top edge over twice so that it doesn't look frayed. Now it's time to paint and stick it on.
We left the flowers in the plastic pot and put them in the tetrapack. However, you can also take them out of the pot and pot them directly in the tetrapack with additional soil. My daughter is very proud of her own flower pot and is delighted with the new flowers in her room. She enjoyed the craft so much that she created a flower pot for her grandma too.
Empty tetra bags are ideal for upcycling. You can use them to make much more than just these flower pots. For example, a utensil for pens and brushes, a container for the doll's kitchen or entire gift boxes can also be created from them.

I'm more of a thinker than a doer. Yet I'm still always active: crafting, sewing, writing to-do lists, daydreaming, counting clouds, digging into soil, comforting my two little ones and collapsing into bed after a long day. If it were up to me, each day would have a few extra hours... I wonder if that would be enough.
