Galaxy S24: Europe will not get Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Samsung is only equipping the Galaxy S24 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the USA and Canada. The rest of the world gets the Exynos 2400.
A leaked overview of the Galaxy S24 puts in writing for the first time what was previously only suspected: Samsung is once again delivering its new top smartphone in two versions. There will probably be certainty at the launch on 17 January 2024, followed by a detailed comparison of the two variants.
Return to its own chipset
The Galaxy S23 was an exception. It only appeared in one version with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Samsung had already opted for two chipsets for the models before it. The Snapdragon for North America and the in-house Exynos for the rest of the world. The only annoying thing is that one of them - the Snapdragon - regularly performs better in benchmark tests. At least the impact on functions in everyday life remained minimal. Everything Samsung promised worked regardless of the chipset.
Although Samsung unveiled the Exynos 2400 back in October , even after the latest big leak before Christmas, how Samsung will distribute the chipsets in the Galaxy S24. This has changed with the newest leaked data sheet - even if the final confirmation will only be given at the still unconfirmed "Unpacked Event" on 17 January.
The first benchmark test results are also available for the two chipsets - and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 performs better again. However, both are at a level where no difference should be noticeable in everyday use of the Galaxy S24.
- Exynos 2400: 2067 / 6520 points with Geekbench 6
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3: 2329 / 7501 points with Geekbench 6
Detailed comparisons of the two variants of the Galaxy S24 can be expected from the end of January
