Dreame has introduced two new pool robots. The Pro model can be controlled by remote control, and both devices boast impressive suction power and other strengths.

Dreame presents its new line-up on a villa plot in Nice. The two new Z1 and Z1 Pro pool robots can simply be thrown into the pool, then they dive down and clean the dirty pool floor.

With a size of 47 × 42 × 28 centimetres, the Z1 is slightly larger than DIN A3 and weighs just under 12 kilograms. It cleans pools up to 180 square metres in size and has a filter capacity of 4.5 litres. The Pro version is hardly any heavier and can clean 20 square metres more.

The Z1 and Z1 Pro fill the large tank with a powerful suction power of 30 square metres per hour and two double brushes. They suck leaves, dirt, algae, hair and other debris from the pool into the tank. A comparable robot such as the Aiper Scuba S1 Pro, for example, only cleans 25 square metres in the same time.

Four cleaning modes and four hours charging time

The two Dreame pool robots have four cleaning modes: standard, floor, walls and waterline. The robot uses special technology to recognise the shape of the pool and calculate the most efficient cleaning route. It automatically recognises obstacles and avoids them. Two pump motors are installed for cleaning, which attach themselves to the walls of the pool so that the robot can also scrub along the waterline.

After four hours of work, it needs to be taken to its magnetic charger. It parks conveniently right at the edge of the pool. So you can either lift it out or, if it's too heavy for you, pull it out with a hook from Dreame.

The charging time of four to six hours is in line with the running time. Although this takes quite a long time, it is easy on the battery.

The robots clean fully automatically, but can also be controlled via an app. You can use it to define zones, for example to only clean the steps of the pool. Or you can specify whether your Dreame pool cleaner should only scrub the waterline or all the walls plus the floor. There are also buttons on the devices to set a cleaning schedule.

An additional gadget of the Z1 Pro is a remote controller. This works via a green light signal. This allows you to call the robot to you while you are working, for example, or assign it to a different cleaning area.

Prices and availability

The new pool robots from Dreame are available for pre-order in our shop and will be delivered from 11 April. However, if you are interested, it is worth waiting: there is a discount of 200 francs on the RRP of 899 francs for the Z1 at the start of sales. The same applies to the Dreame Z1 Pro with an RRP of 1199 francs. So you'd better put these devices on your watch list. The discount is valid for a fortnight from 11 April.
