Product details
The large diameter of the Z bayonet, the luminous intensity of 1:1.8 and the aperture with nine rounded lamellae ensure fascinating performance in all lighting conditions. You can capture exquisite star effects and enjoy an extremely natural-looking bokeh, gently graded to the corners of the picture.
The sharpness is fantastic - and particularly outstanding at close range. With a close-up limit of just 0.2 m, you have full control over the image detail - from close up to infinity. ED glass lenses and aspherical lenses help to effectively correct chromatic aberration and other imaging errors. In addition, Nikon's nanocrystal coating counteracts ghosting and stray light. Each setting captures much more detail.
This full frame lens focuses quickly, smoothly and quietly - ideal for film shooting. You can control the depth of field on the lens and use the noiseless adjustment ring to set the focus with absolute precision. Focus Breathing has been almost completely eliminated.

The fast wide-angle lens costs 1200 euros. Even with the aperture open, the resolution and contrast in the centre of the image are very high. At the edges, however, the contrast decreases considerably and there is a lack of definition in the corners. In addition, there is a strong vignetting...
A lens for all nature and landscape photography fans. Due to its high speed, it is also suitable for astrophotography.
The Nikon Nikkor Z 1.8/20 mm S performs very well in terms of optics and mechanics.
