USB/nail drive for me, this time last year.
Correct, the dongle is designed for the Studio version.🫡
I think it is the 17th but it doesn't matter. if you buy it, you can always download free updates from the website. and there are many updates. what i know is 8k in the update :D
No downside. I plugged the dongle in one of free ports at the back of the pc and literally forgot about it for over a year!
Hey :) Well, with my dongle I was able to upgrade to Studio 18.1 without any problems and free of charge. You always have access to DaVinci via SD card or USB stick, but note that one of the two data carriers must always be plugged in to be able to access all Studio benefits. Kind regards Manuel
With the dongle, you only can use 1 PC/MAC/Lin at a time - or you buy 2 dongles. Personally, I use the Key-Version, as this will not block a USB-Port (and dongles can get lost, go defect, eaten or chewed by your usual 2 or 4 legged houshold staff members etc.). I got my version 17 with a key in a special bundle with a speed editor, switched my M1 to M1Max (and it still seams to work on both devices at the same time... apparently ;) ). hope that helps - br.
Get at least a current 8-core, whether AMD or Intel + 64 GB RAM + at least SSD, better NVME memory where you edit the videos on it. As an interim solution on your current PC, I recommend working with half or quarter resolution when scrubbing.
Yes it does. No problem ;)
From experience - dongle version comes with a usb stick that needs to be connected to the pc while using the application. Activation code does not require a usb connection but seem to be more expensive.
DR17 can be downloaded here https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/ But it is still in the beta stage. Dongle in this case means that you get a USB stick with the licence on it. This means you can use Davinci Studio on any PC/Mac. Regarding your last question, I can't give you a 100% correct answer. From what I have read so far, it seems that you can update for free. Greetings
😃 Don‘t worry, digitec is an absolutely serious reseller.
Hi. Here are the requirements for DR16: https://www.richardlackey.com/davinci-resolve-system-requirements/ I myself edit and grade Gopro diving videos in 4k/60fps/h.264-->DNxHRSQ on my Aero 15xv8 (GTX 1070 Max-Q 8GB, i7-8750h, 32GB RAM and 970 Evo Plus SSD) and it all runs very smoothly. Provided the laptop is powered :)
According to research it is the DaVinci Resolve 16 Studio version.
So far Davinci Resolve is only available in English, Spanish, etc., sorry :(
The product is sent by post as it is not ESD rated, so it is a physical product :) It should work with Resolve 16 too
You need to download the latest Resolve "Studio" version from the BMD website: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion With the free updates, this is the case at least since version 9!
