Hello. I have not experienced this myself and have always done the firmware via the internal web interface. It seems to be bricked. I have now taken mine out of service, lost the LAN RJ45 connection when copying large quantities with GBit. WLAN was really bad.

Hi, I don't have a fibre connection myself, but the router should be able to handle it. The connections 5 x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 x WAN & 4 x LAN) are available, and Wifi should bring more than 1GBs (in theory anyway). The test values of 1733Mbps in Wifi 5GHz will hardly be reached. Why should the provider throttle this, except for cost reasons? If, for example, a download server provides you with 100mb/s (which would be pretty great), then you download at 100mb/s, regardless of whether you have 1gb/s with fibre. I, for example, never go over on Steam. When the new connection is there, you can reset the router, then the device should provide the settings that would be optimal for your connection. Or maybe you can do something in the menu. Sorry, I have not yet fully dealt with DUMAOS. Don't take it negatively or personally, just want to make things clear. If there is something wrong with my statement, please feel free to correct me. Cheers

Hello Takaccspeti Regarding your questions: 1. I don't think the router alone reaches up to the third floor. If you are using the 5Ghz Wi-Fi, even less so. A mesh system would definitely be the better way with one hotspot each for the second and third floor. I live in a rented flat and the 5Ghz Wi-Fi already has trouble getting from my study to the bedroom. It has to go through three walls. 2. the router is compatible with the Connect Box without any problems. That's what I had in use. But don't forget to switch the Connect Box to bridge mode. See here: https://support.upc.ch/app/faq/a_id/1320/~/how-I-configure-the-bridge-mode-on-my-wifi-modem%3F-. Greetings :)

Before setting up the Netgear router, the Connect Box is set to modem mode, i.e. the WLAN and the function as a router of the Connect Box are deactivated. To do this, enter the address 192.168.0.1 in the browser, log in with Login and change the Working Mode of the Connect Box. Then the Netgear router is connected to one of the Ethernet sockets of the Connect Box, all other devices that were connected by cable are now running via the Netgear router. If the connection to the Connect Box is established, the setup of the Netgear router should run without any problems. If the Connectbox did not work as desired, the Netgear router will display a message. If the changeover was successful, simply follow the setup guide of the Netgear router.
