Are both USB 2 and USB 3 available? Thanks to USB 2.0 also compatible with somewhat older computers.
USB 3.0 is downward compatible. It therefore also works with USB 2.0.
well, i think the quota has been reached and the product switched back to normal price. the informations are removed.
This is relatively simple: Plug the hard disk into the Apple --> start Disk Utility (should be under "Applications" --> "Utilities") then select the hard disk you want to format (Attention: Make sure that you don't select the internal hard disk by mistake) and then format the hard disk with "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" via the "Erase" tab. Double check that you have selected the correct hard drive in Disk Utility, otherwise you will wipe your system. :-P Also note that Windows cannot handle the HFS+ file system. So you can only use an HFS+ formatted hard disk (without additional software) under Apple.

A USB cable is of course included in the scope of delivery.
Yes, according to another customer, this hard drive should also work with Windows Vista.
At the moment, Seagate Expansion Portable is very cheap. The Seagate should even be a little better and tend to cause fewer problems (according to reviews). Seagate Expansion Portable (1000GB)
I don't quite understand the question, but maybe this will help: The necessary USB cable is included.
Yes
I assume yes, it would certainly have to be formatted. But I wouldn't give you a bigger memory than your Ps has. That is, if it has 500gb, you can of course use a 1Tb, but 4Tb might not be recognised by the system.

Yes, but requires reformatting within macOS
yes, first, I format the hard drives in a Mac format (e.g. "APFS") with the hard drive utility. Or, if I want to use the hard drive with other systems (Windows...) as "exFAT" (the Mac can also read this format)
I would have to ask: How can one set one then? By default, none can be assigned! Only by an ext. tool a'la Bitlocker!

Yes, it is. Requires reformatting for Mac OS.
No, it doesn't. It has this long, narrow USB port that has the micro-USB integrated into it, I don't know the exact name right now.
Unfortunately, this promotion is no longer active, it was an action on a limited number of pieces and all have been sold.
Yes. With macOS v10.13 / v10.12 / OS X v10.11 reformatting is required.
Yes, you have a 5-year bring-in guarantee on the item.
Sure, why not ;)
