With its supercardioid polar pattern, the VideoMic GO II focuses on signals from the front at a narrow angle (approximately 45°); side sound sources are hardly picked up. The sound quality is top-notch - the VideoMic GO II delivers crystal-clear, completely colorless audio and has a minimal self-noise of 15 dBA. The red Rycote shock mount is designed for camera mounting with the integrated hot shoe adapter, but it also features a 3/8" thread for attaching the microphone to a tripod or boom pole. The audio connection to the camera is made via the included 3.5 mm TRS cable, and a foam windscreen is also included.

The VideoMic GO II has a built-in 24 Bit/48 kHz audio interface. Through the side USB-C port and a suitable cable, the microphone can be connected digitally to a Mac, PC, smartphone, or iPhone. In this case, the 3.5 mm jack on the microphone serves as a stereo headphone output. The VideoMic GO II is compatible with the free apps "RØDE Connect" and "RØDE Central.".
