Product details
Seasonic's latest design keeps the output voltage within a very narrow range and achieves a load regulation below 0.5%. Seasonic's vast experience in developing the quietest and most efficient power supplies
on the market has been translated into the development of the hybrid mode. This is a state-of-the-art fan control system that allows the user to keep the overall noise of the fan at the lowest possible level. High performance fans with fluid dynamic bearings (FDB) are designed to take advantage of the shock absorbing effect of oil. They are extremely reliable and generate considerably less operating noise and heat than fans with ball bearings. Lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration, thus lowering overall power consumption. Due to effortless, quieter rotation and robust construction, this reliable fan technology also significantly increases the life of the fan. As the fan shaft rotates, high-pressure oil drips along the grooves of the bearing sleeve to create a thin layer of lubrication between the bearing surfaces. As the speed increases, the dynamic oil pressure increases and the shaft is lifted off the bearing to produce smooth, effortless rotation. The herringbone shape of the grooves helps to channel the lubricant efficiently and prevent leakage. Seasonic engineers have implemented a new design feature where, instead of cables, the rear panel and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) are connected by a copper plate. This breakthrough solution not only reduces the likelihood of production errors during manual assembly, but also improves the quality of output power.
