The plant requires little water. The only way to kill a Sansevieria is by overwatering it. It is important that the soil is well-dried before watering the plant again, otherwise, there is a risk of root rot. In winter, the plant can go without water for 6 to 8 weeks. During the growing season (in spring and summer), watering every 2 weeks is sufficient. The plant thrives well in both dark and bright locations.
