Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in comparison: Tribute to common sense

In August 2012, a campaign went online on Kickstarter: A young entrepreneur named Palmer Luckey wanted to raise 250,000 dollars for the development of VR glasses. Four hours later, the funding goal was reached. By the end of the campaign, almost 2.5 million dollars had been raised. Although the backers received their developer kit of the glasses on time, the development of the version intended for end customers did not go as quickly: it has only been possible to actually buy them for a few weeks. Almost at the same time, the HTC Vive came onto the market, whose development was somewhat faster. We tested both systems.
