Game highlights in June: These games are not to be missed
Whether PC, Playstation, Switch or Xbox: Here you can find out which games you can look forward to in the coming month.
Not only the temperatures are rising, but also the following six games will heat you up in June.
"Diablo Immortal
The development of "Diablo Immortal" was not under a good star. The announcement at Blizzcon 2018 was met with boos. The fans wanted "Diablo IV" and not a mobile offshoot. In the meantime, however, the feedback from the beta phase sounds surprisingly positive. Even more surprising was the announcement that the game would also be released as an open beta for the PC at launch.
"Diablo Immortal" is set between "Diablo 2" and "Diablo 3", is free-to-play and offers the same hero classes as part 3. Those looking for more "Diablo" should find what they are looking for here.

"Card Shark"
The makers of the "Reigns" series have the next unusual card game on offer with "Card Shark". This time, there's no left and right swiping à la Tinder. Instead, you'll uncover a conspiracy in 18th century France by cheating at cards in the most creative ways.

"The Cycle: Frontier"
"The Cycle: Frontier" combines battle royale elements with monster hunting, resource gathering and crafting. Developer Yager calls the whole thing PvPvE, meaning player vs. player vs. environment. You compete against enemy teams and fight computer-controlled monsters at the same time. I already had a lot of fun with it in the beta phase. Now the full release of the most voted free-to-play game on Steam is coming up.

Where: PC
"Mario Strikers: Battle League"
If "Fifa" has always been too correct for you and you'd prefer to go for the bloodbath without any consequences, then you can't miss "Mario Strikers: Battle League". The game is played in a manageable 5-against-5 setting. There are numerous special attacks, powerups and even equipment to customize your play style. In addition, there are various abilities that players can use to push each other. So a bit of tactics is also called for.

Where: Switch
"The Quarry".
It's the classic 80s horror movie setting. A cozy summer camp in the middle of nowhere, a group of horny teenagers and suddenly the bodily fluids start flowing - unfortunately the ones you'd rather keep inside. "The Quarry" follows the same gameplay as its predecessor "Until Dawn". You take turns controlling different protagonists through this hellish ride and ideally try to get them through the night alive. The game can end in countless ways, with a lot or little blood on your hands. Until Dawn" was already extremely nerve-wracking. With David Arquette ("Scream") Justice Smith ("Pokémon Detective Pikachu") and Lance Henriksen ("Alien") some well-known names have put on the motion-capturing suit.
When: June 10
Where: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X
"Starship Troopers: Terran Command"
Paul Verhoeven's sci-fi military spoof has long enjoyed cult status. Now the 1997 film, in which super attractive Space Marines fight giant insect aliens, is getting another game adaptation. "Starship Troopers: Terran Command" is a real-time strategy game in which the objective is to bring a planet under control. In doing so, you'll face off against huge hordes of ravenous creepy-crawlies, just like in the movie.
When: June 16 Where: PC
Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
